1. Select one or more diagnostic models that you believe provide a framework that succinctly identifies the key factors at the center of the Boeing situation. Explain your choice of model.
The diagnostic model that I choose is 7-S framework. 7 – S framework is seen in the seven major categories of factors in an organization that is structure, strategy, systems, style, staff, skills and superordinate goals. This category includes everything from the organizational structure, the company plans to realize and their contents, management style and culture, situation of human resources, and competitive advantage. This category includes everything from the organizational structure, the company plans to realize and their contents, management style and culture, situation of human resources, and competitive advantage. 7 – S framework will help identify problems in boeing because the main cause of failure is the lack of consideration of the cultural implications of diversification within the company. In addition to the lack of recognition by the management of ethical problems caused by the company itself means that the turnover of companies take longer to achieve than necessary. Using a 7 – S framework will now allow management to see that the structure of the company is not fitting for a new strategy and that the issue of improvement of the system will inhibit other areas of organizational change. Finally the use of 7 – S framework will be an increased focus on staff morale and skills to facilitate the transition from Boeing be the company more efficient and diverse.
