It’s never too late to change.
In the beginning of the story Scrooge was very mean to other people and he didn’t seem like a very happy person. He hardly ever talked to people on the street just to be friendly and when he did it was for business and he still wasn’t nice then. In the story every Christmas Eve Scrooge’s nephew Fred asked him if he would come to his house and eat dinner with him and his wife and every year Scrooge would say no. Scrooge thought Christmas was a humbug and he did not want to get involved in it. He was old and unkind when he met the Ghost of Christmas past and the Ghost of Christmas Present. When he traveled around with the Ghost of Christmas Present he took him to a lot of bad places where people there would usually be miserable under the situations they were in, but on Christmas Eve Scrooge saw that everyone was nice and had tons of Christmas spirit. Scrooge didn’t even know that those people that were not rich like the ones he saw with the Ghost of Christmas Present and people like Bob Cratchit and his nephew are very kind to other people even when some people are not kind to them. After Scrooge met the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come he realized that he was mean to people and if he did not change the way he acted when he died people would disrespect him and remember him only as a rude person. So in the end Scrooge understood how he should act to become a better person. He loved Christmas and didn’t think it was a humbug and was incredibly nice to everybody. Even if you are eighty years old or eight years old no matter how old you are you can change to make you a better person because it is never to late to change.
2. Money itself doesn’t make a person happy.
