I. Introduction:
Over the years, DACCACHE was known in the agriculture field in Lebanon, specialized in vegetables and fruits.
With 40 years in experience Mr. GERGI DACCACHE passed on his experience and knowledge to his three sons, continuing into his path adding new technologies to this field, making them one of the leading companies in the agriculture world in Lebanon. DACCACHE GROUP was born:

These four departments work harmonically together to supply the local markets as well as the international markets, with high proficiency, high quality and best service.
Gergy Daccache and Sons Co:
Gergy Daccache and Sons Company was established in 1993 by Mr. Chawki Daccache. It is an agricultural establishment, manufacturer of ordinary and high tech greenhouses, banana nets, mixers and filters.
Gergy Daccache and Sons Company is a sales agent for various types of agricultural products; irrigation systems, seeds, fertilizers, nutrients It is well established in the market and is meeting the requirements of its valued customers throughout the country and abroad.
Gergy Daccache and Sons Company has already established a new sector for transportation “Daccache Industry”.
I interviewed current general manager and shareholder of Gergy Daccache and Sons Co, Mr. Chawki Daccache.
II. Mission Statement:
Gergy Daccache and Sons Company aims to supply the Lebanese and regional market with the best products, quality and service. The farmer will find all his needs at Gergy Daccache and Sons.

The vision of Gergy Daccache and Sons Company is to be a reliable, regional leader in the agricultural field through our technical and industrial advantage and satisfying customers needs.
III. Organizational Structure:
Work Specialization
Every member of the staff at Gergy Daccache and Sons has his specific job defined; job descriptions, tasks needed from him, chain of command…
Everyone should be mastering the work asked from him. For that, trainings are done to the laborers and the work of the managers is always being organized.
Departmentalization
Gergy Daccache and Sons is divided into 3 major sectors:
The Sales Office and Warehouse:
Constituting of a 4 regional sales representatives, storekeeper, secretary-accountant, 1worker
The Head Quarters and Factory:
Management: secretary, accountant, hr, purchasing, general manager, operations manager
Daccache Industry:
This sector has a sole customer for now which is Nestle Water. The company is responsible of the water transportation from the plant to the storage areas.
It has a manager and 8 truck drivers, related to the hr department and the accounting, under the direct supervision of the GM.
Chain of command
Each manager is aware of the authority given to them and takes responsibility of that. Also, the chain of command is specific, so every employee has only one superior to report to.
Currently, the company has 38 employees, 6 of them are in the management and administration, 2 in sales and 30 are working in the production units.
Evaluation:
With respect to the book, the organization structure of this company is “A Typical Functional Structure”. This structure follows the obvious division of labor within the firm, with different functions focusing on different tasks.
Suggestion:
As Mr. Daccache said, there is a certain lack of cooperation among employees that he is trying to work on.
Since the activities of the business are scattered across various functions, a specified team formed of employees from different departments should be formed. This team would be responsible of sharing and transferring each departments work and of coordinating it as a whole.
