Nurse Prescribing, 11(12), 597-601.Lavar-Bradbury provided a detailed summary of the overview treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Different treatments for ADHD can be non-pharmacological or pharmacological. Treatments for preschoolers should be non-pharmacological however, for school-age children drug treatment should only be offered with parent consent. Depending on the person and the severity of their symptoms some people can manage without medications. Some children with ADHD are very oppositional, arguing with siblings, parents and friends. Parenting groups are highly recommending for parents when children have behavior problems.
