The Darker Side of Globalization
Globalization has been a good thing for the rest of the world especially 3rd world countries but not necessarily for our country. Many Americans have lost jobs because of outsourcing because it is cheaper to just outsource all of the jobs. This makes it harder for people without college educations to get jobs in this country. Although it helps bring more jobs for 3rd world countries and many of these jobs are higher paying then the jobs they would have been able to get even though they would be considered very low paying jobs for us.
One of the major problems is that even though it provides jobs for people in other countries it doesnt provide that many well paying good jobs which would bring a higher level of education and more money to these countries. If we were to provide better jobs to these other countries it would hurt our country even more than its already hurting from sending out some of the lower end jobs. These countries need to have there own companies thrive to really make money for the country because even though many jobs are going to these other countries not that much money is because the foreign workers are not protected by the same laws, and do not have any of the management end of these companies in their country. The other countries do the work but most of the money made goes to our country.
Its not only 3rd world countries that our taking jobs, they are taking most of the other jobs but because of outsourcing we have lost many of our tech jobs. Japan has taken many of our jobs like computer programmers and software engineers. This is a problem because jobs like this are only going to become increasingly more common as technology advances everything has computers in them nowadays washing machines, and remote controls now have screens and someone has to create software for them everything is going to need
