Sol:
Kishore Biyani, one of the Pioneer entrepreneurs in India made his vision come true by setting up various retail stores in India. He was able to set up what all were required in Indian market after the success of Pantaloons, Big Bazaar and Food Bazaar retailing formats. Pantaloon Retail India Limited was one of the top retailers in India by area 2004 in terms of turnover and retail areas occupied by all its outlets.

Mr.Biyani tried to understand what the Indian consumers think and need, by understanding the pulse of the Indian consumers, Kishore Biyani tried to serve the Indian consumers necessities and the relevant needs be fulfilled on time at par with other Western based and western style marketing copying competitors in India.

The customer centric business setting speciality of Biyani let him go ahead of all the competitors existing in the then market and his approach of meeting common people and local leaders as well as walking across the streets and going ahead into the market directly just like any other common man and understanding the needs of common men made him so reachable into the Indian Retail market.

Mr Biyanis self commitment to spend at least 7 hours in the stores a week was an excellent model of working at base level even after reaching the highest levels in Retail Industry in Indian subcontinent. However he never slept with out Innovation and touching up new products and new stores on week on week basis even after decades of his grand success of Big Bazaar in Mumbai, he has been running around just like any other new entrepreneur and never took a nap with out his aims and ambitions. His dreams came true by becoming the globally reputed retail marketing chain in India.

The best part of business planning was he treated all his men managers and all other resources as his Limbs but not as his brain, he himself became his own brain behind and let all his businesses till a certain stage where he was happy enough to see that his businesses were flourishing. Once he reached certain height where he felt he should less burden on himself and he should move towards solving the Crux of the retail business in India, he made various divisional heads and let the business through those divisional head carefully. Thus was the planning of Mr.Biyani to consolidate business.
