For years the United States has gone back and forth on the topic of illegal immigrants. With the Mexican border at the top of their list, with a the borders total length at 1,951 miles (3,141 km), according to figures given by the International Boundary and Water Commission. It is the most frequently crossed international border in the world, with some 350 million people crossing legally every year. (
Although each Senator’s made good points I tend to agree with Sen. Dana Rohrabacher and the group of officials that appose the guest worker program. I agree that we need a stronger and more secure border. I do not believe that we should allow illegal immigrants to continue to be here, turning our head to the illegal state in which they entered.
However I in some regards agree with Sen. Dick Durbin that “branding them as criminals” would only scare the immigrants to stay in hiding. As Sen. Dana Rohrabacher said we need to fight against showing amnesty to other Mexicans to enter the US illegally. We need a strong and secure border, with out tying it to a guest
