Why I Deserve a Scholarship
I consider myself an all-round student taking part in studies as well as various extra-curricular activities including clubs and sports. These activities gave me the essential skill of becoming a team player. I am also an avid reader.

From my small days I have always been fascinated with knowledge and always loved to learn new things. My inquisitiveness sometimes got me in trouble but I always learnt something new. The turning point happened during my O/Levels when my father got me a book titled “Study Smarter, Not Harder”. This book showed me how to unleash my potential and use certain study techniques to get the maximum benefit. Armed with these techniques I knew I had the tools to succeed and I have never looked back since then moving ever forward pursing my passion and dream.

Another valuable lesson was taught to me by the CEO of ebay.com , Pierre Omidyar. In a business article Pierre explained that the reason for his key to success was due to pursuing his passion. In other words doing what he loved to do. I consider this a valuable point as one cannot be truly successful if he is not passionate about what he does. This lesson has also crystallized into one of my life mottos which is:

“Do what you love, Love what you do and you’ll always find success”
Fresh out of school when all my friends were idling their time waiting for university entrance I started on CIMA as I had passion for business and also mentors Sir Richard Branson and Steve Jobbs having influenced me through their books and biographies. I have now successfully completed the CIMA strategic level.

My dream is I want to become a CEO in a leading multinational company. To achieve this goal I find that I need more interactive skills, knowledge and expertise which I currently lack. Simply put I require the maturity of a university education. I understand the difference between
