Reentering the community In this article the author explains how the system can help reenter age groups from 16 – 23 back in to the community. Coming out of corrections can be very taxing and difficult for people especially young teens and adults. Young adults coming out of corrections can receive extra help into the community. It is called Reentry Ready, it is a program aimed to support these individuals and reduce the risk of them ending back up in corrections and the court system. The organization partners with Minnesota jobs and training like goodwill for example along with local business who are willing to hire someone with a criminal record to help them get a job. This article directly points the program to one county which is Kandiyohi county. This article also explains how younger adults may lack having a driver license or high school diploma or even a GED. I feel this is a good idea to help some young adults reenter the world and cope with the new things the world brings us. Learning how to be a solid citizen helps the community and keeps people from being homeless. It is a good program for those who are willing to change their lives.
