Non-Stick Frypans
The investigation was testing and comparing the durability of the fry pan, whether and egg cooks well on it (the effectiveness), the price, the cooking performance, (how non sticky it was).
The two brands of non-stick fry pans were Meyer selection being the best non-stick fry pan overall and the Swiss Diamond Fry pan. Also commendable for value for money was Illa Polar
Qualities of these three frypans, which made them stand out compared to others on test, are mentioned below as well as the rank order of results.
Meyer Selection: Meyer Selection came in first and at a cost of 100 dollars. It was the best fry pan on test as it had excellent heat distribution across the pan due to a thick base, and also excelled as it was more durable than the others and could outstand dishwasher pressure better than others tested. The handle was comfortable and showed excellent results when placed on all sorts of different stoves, gas, radiant, ceramic and induction. However it was mentioned that the exterior surface was at times difficult to clean.
The Swiss Diamond: The Swiss diamond placed second and cost 120 dollars. It also had excellent heat distribution and a comfortable handle. This brand also proved dishwasher safe and metal utensils could be used on the surface without causing damage. However unlike the Meyer Selection the Swiss Diamond non-stick frypan does have a comfortable handle. This product was unfortunately relatively expensive so lost a few points in that area.
The Illa Polar: This product received best value for money as it only sets you back 60 dollars. This product came in third and had good point of being relatively lightweight and convenient. This product had very good cooking performance and superb durability. It also was conveniently dishwasher safe and is reasonably inexpencive.
