As Penny lane primary school is low in student numbers lately. They have advertised the school and are trying to raise their ofsted rating. The advertisement of the school is not to the best standard and only in the local area. Penny lane is open to people who are outside of the local area and want more students to come to their school. The school has a website with news and events in the local area. Most of the students in the school go there because it is close to home and not for the teaching the school provide. Penny lane school has 14 staff working for them ages raging from 24 to 61 years of age. The staff that worth there are: 1 head teacher, 9 teachers, 3 dinner staff and one site manager.BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF CLIENTThe current headmaster of Penny lane primary school is Mr. Jack Jackson. He works full time at Penny lane primary school at the headmaster and is in charge of the operations of the school. The school is not running as smoothly as it could do. Mr. Jackson created the school website that is already up and running. Mr Jackson states “I could update the website myself but I don’t have time because my job is that demanding.” Mr. Jackson is very academic and has a background of web development but doesn’t have the time to update his website. Mr Jackson says that no other teacher in the school would know how to update the website to a good and professional standard. Mr Jackson says that in order for the school to look professional they must have professional aspects to it, such as a up-to-date website.
BRIEF OUTLINE OF THE PROBLEM TO BE SOLVEDMy client is using pieces of paper to write important information on – this is completely insecure. The main problem is that this paper is usually lost or misplaced and causes issues for Mr. Jackson and the staff at Penny lane. Also, the cleaning staff are often left without a job to do because they are told in person what rooms to clean. In addition to this, the site manager is very often not told about any damages in the school or broken appliances. Also the students say that they do their work on paper but it is often misplaced or damaged. I am going to use interviews because I can ask pacific questions to the client and explain what the questions mean. In addition to this, I an going to use interviews because my client will be more engaged than they would if they was answering a questionnaire. Also, I am going to use meetings because I can talk to multiple people and share information with them all. Furthermore, I am going to use meetings because it will encourage the communication between me and the teem at Penny lane primary school. I am not using observations because I don’t need to watch people using a website, I can just ask them the advantages and disadvantages of it in a meeting/interview. I am not going to use document analysis because there is not that much documentation involved on a website what I have to analyse. I am not going to use questionnaires because, any questions I need to know answers to I can just obtain through a meeting/Interview.
