Me, In a Word
There are a bunch of words that describe me, but the best one has gotten to be athletic. Being athletic means everything to me. I am a swimmer, a very competitive swimmer. I love to be involved in sports or exercises which help me to build up strength, speed and endurance in terms of swimming.
Even though I love eating, I love being active more. I can definitely say that being athletic is in our blood. My grandfather was a great soccer and badminton player and my mom was a great volleyball player when they were in China. Any sports that you play will require a lot of training, hard work and dedication to succeed. I swim all year around for about 7 years now and I also train with our local cross country team to help strengthen my endurance.
Now as a high school freshman, I realize there will be an excessive amount of homework and the other responsibilities involved. In order to balance school work and activities, I try to manage my time productively. After school I would either choose between running and swimming, however I prefer to go to swim practice more. During practice, it takes my mind off so many things. I also enjoy socializing with my teammates to share our life stories. Therefore, I will have a fresh mind ready for schoolwork. Its vital to develop mentally and physically balanced to produce an efficient result.
Last, but not least, the most important reason why I am athletic is to keep me physically in shape. If I didnt swim or run, I probably wouldnt be in the best shape as I currently am now. Swimming six days a week could be a hassle but at the end it is all worth it. Running will also help me in so many ways that I couldnt perform in the water. My goal as a freshman is to be able to achieve Junior National and high school championship qualifying times. Nothing is impossible when you have your mind set to it. I will continue running to get me in the best physical condition for swimming. Being athletic means the whole world to me and it always will be.
