Question 1: Research Design and Hypothesis
Research is the most essential part of any project. It is also the way to find out the information’s which are required for carrying out the study. While conducting research on a particular paper its design also plays a pivotal role. The quality of any assignment gets hugely enhanced with the sound understanding of the research design (Deakin, n.d.). Research design is the pathway for carrying out the project. A research design tries to provide solution to the question of study, about the data which are relevant to the project, concerning the data which is to be collected and ways to analyze the data. While on the other hand a research hypothesis is also relevant to the formulation of the report. A hypothesis of a study must be simple, theoretically clear and specific. Therefore in order to continue with the project it is very much important to develop a hypothesis (Kumar, 2005, p.75). In other words a research hypothesis is a statement which is formulated by the researcher in the context of the research topic. It is the prediction about the outcome of a study.

In the context of the project the questions which are described in the case of country jams and pickles are:-
Does increased road traffic led to an increase in the number of road fatalities of large mammals?
What is the opinion of local population on the new facility?
Does the establishment of the factory lead to improved wellbeing in participating households?
Does an improved mango variety produce more pulp that the common mango?
Does the proximity of households to the road influence the supply of mangoes to the factory?
In the aforementioned questions the one which is least suitable for testing the hypothesis is the issue about the increase in the road traffic which has led to the increase in the road facilities of large mammals. This has been cited as the least appropriate one because this question is not relevant according to the presented scenario. Moreover the issue also does not provide any scope of accomplishing a null hypothesis.
