A Way to Completely Eliminating Drugs and Drug Users to Help the Greater Good of the Entire World
Johnathan PeshkoMs. O’NeilENG3U1-02January 28, 2018A Modest Proposal A way to completely eliminating drugs and drug users to help the greater good of the entire worldPeople who have  been taken over by addiction.People  doing ridiculous, unmentionable things. People who are not even in control of their own minds. People who do something against the law every day. Money that has gone to a lost cause for decades. The good citizens tax money that goes towards something that can not be fixed. This problem is the base for many of the worst people on earth. What is the basis for all of these things? Drugs. Drugs cause some of the worst things on the planet. Car crashes, murders of the innocent and an increased number of prisoners are all directly related to drugs. Drugs are the worst thing on this planet, and there is only one solution. My solution will change the world. If the governments of the world were to accept this, the world would be free of many bad things. If the people and the government can gather enough money the drug trade will be over forever. All that is needed is for a substantial bribe to be provided to all the major drug traffickers in the world. Once this bribe is put in place, these drug traffickers will poison all of their drugs will a lethal dose of fentanyl in return for the money and an agreement that they will stop making their drugs. Once all the drugs are poisoned they will shipment them out to all their usual customers. Once the people take these drugs, they will die. This will happen on a massive scale and within the span of 2 days. All people who have taken the street drugs will die. This will very greatly benefit the greater good of the people.
Firstly, once all the drug users have died, the war on drugs will be over. This means that it will save the governments billions of dollars. Currently the American government spends 51 billion dollars yearly on the war on drugs. This means that if my plan is put forth the government can save 51 billion per year. Secondly, because of all this money being saved there will be no more debt in the countries. Every country in the world will benefit and save billions per year. This will lead to greater unity and friendlier relations between countries, because they will significantly reduce their debt.Thirdly, all the drug users will no longer be a problem. Every day there are stories of innocent people being affected by those under the influence of drugs. The innocent die from those using drugs weekly so I believe that if there are no more drug users, there will be less innocent deaths.Fourthly, there will be less people in prison. According to the Bureau of Prisons t about 48.6% of all people that are incarcerated are in jail for drug offences. If there are no drugs then this means that there would be an almost 50% drop of people in prison. This would greatly help all people.
