Compare and Contrast – Organized Lifestyle Vs Disorganized
Essay title: Compare and Contrast – Organized Lifestyle Vs Disorganized
A neat and organized lifestyle tends to be beneficial in comparison to a sloppy, disorganized one. The benefits of neatness and organization encompass both your professional and personal life everyday.
Many people are fooled by the illusion that sloppiness leads to an easier, somewhat stress-free lifestyle. I assure you these people are mistaking. Sloppiness and disorganization actually cause stress and problems. A person with a cluttered desk will have a much harder time trying to find a particular paper than someone who took the time to organize a workspace. Not being able to find things is a common problem for people who are disorganized, and as a result, disorganized people are often running late even for the simplest things. Perhaps a person cant find a certain shirt in a pile of laundry, thus making him late for a dinner date with friends. Maybe he is late for a doctors appointment because he can not find his insurance card in a pile of papers. Even worse, when he is on time, he tries to leave and finds he has misplaced his keys once again.
Some might argue that a sloppy person is more laid back, more of a go-with-the-flow kind of a person. However, sloppy people take this to an extreme; a sloppy house is one thing, but a sloppy appearance is another. People are less likely to associate with a person who is too lazy to take care of himself. Some people might find it easier not to shave, fix their hair, put on makeup or even take a shower. This persons clothes might not be clean, and are probably not ironed. All of these factors lead to a rather undesirable overall appearance.
Professionally, a sloppy and disorganized person is likely to show up to work late, call off, miss appointments, not meet deadlines, and not have a pleasing appearance in the workplace. A sloppy person might even miss out on opportunities for jobs as a first impression is crucial to a perspective employer. To make a good impression, one must be on time for an interview, be presentable and be able to portray himself as a together and organized person. It is pretty obvious why a person with a sloppy lifestyle has a harder time accomplishing these things.
