 The purpose of media is to entertain but how can that be done when youre too busy worrying
how youll be accepted in todays society?
Have you ever wondered why there is so much violence in our society today? Have you ever
wondered if its because of the movies, video games, or TV shows that are being watched? Every
one loves a good action film but with action comes gun shootings, fist fights and even murders
and do you ever see them getting consequences for their acts? No. And its because of this that
the viewers get the idea that its easy and okay to get away with these vile acts. Even though
there are warnings and ratings on these products but whats to stop them from seeing them?
Whos to say that their parents or an older acquaintance cant get it for them. If they lie about
their age, they might be able to view or purchase these products if their ID isnt being checked.
Once they do get the product, they play it or watch it like nothing is wrong. Another thing is that
we see violence as being the only way to resolve things instead of going to get help or talking
about it. The sad thing is, this isnt even the biggest of the problems the media has created; the
way you feel about yourself is worse when it should be one of the least.
To some people, image is everything but its becoming a lot more noticeable among the world
