The Inferno
As a child the elderly always told me, “there is a place that is so much better than this, somewhere.” But, as I sit back think about my life and pay attention to the way the world was in the past and the way the world is today, we should all realize that the world is coming to an end; and that the only place that is better than where we remain must be heaven. Because here on earth it is as if nothing is getting better but merely worse. People say we bring our own happiness but truly our happiness also depends on the people we evolve ourselves around as well. If we decide to circulate ourselves with negative and ungodly people then before we know it, we just so happen to do the same as them and the happiness we want we will never be achieve. We must surround ourselves with positive people because if not we will go astray. We as humans are not perfect and even though it is in our hearts to be, it is also a tough and impossible task. We try to do the right things because true believers of Christ knows that we will see judgment day so we try to follow the commands of our Lord, Jesus, but sometimes our feelings get in the way or either our faith. The commands that we should follow is tough and nearly impossible since we are humans and especially since we allow the company we keep to influence us on certain aspects. Either we can not control the feelings, we get lazy, or sooner than later we will adapt the attitude of not caring and which happens to bring us down the most and we lose all form of hope, faith and belief. In the book, “The Inferno,” by Dante Alighieri such circumstances(sin) as these occur which is lust, gluttony and the worst of all suicide.
