Reorganizing in patient-centered care has had its share of problems, and an integrated healthcare team has come up with solutions to making a plan and overcoming the barriers the team had to face. The team has used critical thinking and found the key factors in the potential solutions so that the patient-centered care department can have more knowledge of the situation and possible solutions.Possible SolutionsThe options for solutions is providing quality patient-centered care that all individuals of the healthcare team shall be cultivated to provide patient-centered care. With the associates of an integrative team accentuating evidence-based practice, superiority enhancement tactics, as well as, information services. Another solution should be to educate the patients on patient-centered care. By collaborating with medical staff to better understand the patients expectations of healthcare experts. There are many ways the team came up with the solutions. Methods Now, the methods used to develop these creative solutions for reorganizing patient-centered care is first to ask questions about the problem. Asking questions leads to gathering all the information needed or what is relevant to reorganizing. All the information is then analyzed. Such as, looking at alternatives and interpreting the course of action. More questions were to be asked to develop ideas by asking which ideas are creative and which are positive. All the ideas were then evaluated based on the right criteria for reorganizing patient-centered care. What was feasible, acceptable, or the best fit for the objective. Then the solution was selected considering the consequences and the risks. Finishing off developing a creative solution is to act on the plan and apply all the resources. (Jones, George, 2016)Overcoming BarriersAlthough, there are barriers such as un-credible information which can cause a hospital to invest money and time into new equipment that might not even be needed which then creates more money issues within that care center. Not having the correct equipment can end up costing that establishment money due to the fact the patient might not receive the treatment that they need. The patients would transfer to another facility that could accommodate them. A manager would need to know what is good and what is bad for reorganizing a patient-centered care. There are many obstacles they have to address when it comes down to what is best for their patients. Whether its the amount of nurses to a patient or down to the band aids that they use. Overcoming these obstacles involves critical thinking.
