Yes When people hear “dictatorship” they immediately think of Hitler and assume its automatically bad. Yes, dictatorship has been negative in the past. But a country has a really good dictator that knows what hes doing and is dictating because he just wants the country to run smoothly, who says its got to be bad? I mean that doesnt automatically mean people cant still have rights and enjoy their life there in the country, does it?
Effective doesnt always mean good A strong dictatorship is going to get more done than a weak democracy, thats a fact. That doesnt mean the things that its doing are good and in the best interests of the people. There is such a thing as a good dictator but theyre a lot harder to list off the top of your head than bad ones.
Yes, but it depends It partly depends on if the people are being taken care of correctly. If they still have their rights and are experiencing freedoms than it is better than a weak democracy because it they have a strong government that will protect them if something is threatening them or their country or freedom.

Pakistan got independence at the same time as India, ask yourselves why did the people allow dictatorship to take such deep roots in Pakistan.
Democracy provides excellent results, the question is whether you excercise it properly. The discussion on this topic is moot.
If you look at China, there is a system in which leaders get replaced and chosen by a board, thats pretty OK, dictatorship is that one person rules with no accountability till he dies or is killed.
I would rather like the ability to vote for the man leading my nation. I take democracy any day, however if b/w the devil and sea, i think Chinas model is good.
