Human Resource Management
Human resource management (HRM) three small words that an employee might hear with in his or her time employed though their employer(s). Presented now is a researcher understanding of HRM, within these categories; starting with the meaning of HRM, the primary functions, and few major roles within a corporation.
HRM is a division within an organization that controls many aspects, and which is normally managed by just a few employees to name just a few responsibilities involving employees within the field: behavior, culture differences, personal dilemmas, diversity, skill requirements, and involvement. With an ever changing globalize economy team member in HRM have to mold themselves for a diverse changing world of work. It is not just hiring new employees or just making sure that paper work is in order but an understanding of cultural environments within the work force. Human resource (HR) managers are more involve then ever before with employee development, recruiting, and retention. As companies grow from just in a few near by towns to across the world in the different country, our cultural differences merge within our daily work environment, more rapidly now then ever.
Looking back over the last 30 years HRM has changed not much with policies and procedures, but with how it is managed regarding involvement with the use of modern technology. With the changing of the world and use of technology it has created ways of performing within HR; helping managers perform on more of a professional actuate scale in the matter of minutes and weeks or even months.
Defining Human Resource, it can be explained in different terms other then what has been presented currently within the text. According to Sam Aun (Andy) and his philosophy it is defined as, “the effective selection and utilization of employees to best achieve the goals and the strategies of the organizations, as well as the goals and the needs of employees.” Aun (January 18, 2011)
