The supply personnel should verify all order information for accuracy. In addition to tracking the raw materials, the software will track the quantity of products you manufacture that are available for shipment. Low and high-level limits will be assigned to these items so that the production floor will know the exact quantity to produce for each item to sustain your customers for a six-moth period. Keeping this six-month sustaining quantity on hand will allow you ample time to recover from an unforeseen, work-stopping event. All outgoing orders will process through your shipping area will be equipped in a similar fashion. Processed orders will be sent to the shipping floor at least 12 hours prior to a scheduled pickup via the label printer, which will print the orders invoice form, a UPC label and a shipping label. As shipments are palletized the shipping clerk scans the UPC codes. Each outgoing order is then transmitted via wireless to the appropriate databases.
