New Beginnings
It was time. A stocky, black-haired man approached Mr. Steve at his window and demanded identification and papers. As Steve reached into his glove compartment, I opened the blanket a little more so I could get a better look. Tall, muscular, crew-cut. The scars on his face led me to believe hed been in one too many fights in this lifetime.

It was a claw. I didnt dare move though. This was the biggest moment of my life. He lifted up one of the blankets covering me. I was trembling now, I had lost control of my own body.
Then I heard the trunk shut. The man walked up to Steve and stretched his neck inside the window. He glanced all over the front. “There anything else you wanna tell me,” he sounded madder than before.
“No sir,” Steve stayed
