“Put your heads down and dont talk,” yelled my teacher impatiently.
I did not understand. Thoughts of injustice circulated my mind. Why was I being punished for another childs actions? My countenance reddened with rage as my mind contemplated upon the cause of such torment.
It all began with two of my classmates, whose level of intelligence resembled that of a goldfish, contriving to write on my teachers desk. When my teacher left the room to speak with the principal, their chance prevailed. Using a tack, they inscribed a few curse words on her desk along with the phrase “we all hate you.” As one would expect, my teacher was infuriated when she returned and saw the maledictions. She reproached us for about an hour; no one listened except for the studious girl with her ginormous, black-rimmed, circular glasses. She stared at the teacher attentively with a fixed posture, while I gazed at her, wondering how she could possibly listen so assiduously at words that sounded meaningless to me. After an hour, my teachers overbearing voice could no longer be heard. I guess she finally realized her elaborate speech had no effect on us. Honestly, we were more interested in the fly lying sedately on the windowsill than her high-pitched, squeaky voice that we had to tolerate five days a week.
So she resolved to punish all of us by making everyone put their heads down to reflect upon our transgressions. She has clearly forgotten that we were in the fifth grade. In addition, she should not chastise all of us for the misconducts of two people. A majority of us were not even
