Unemployment leads to financial crisis and reduces the overall purchasing capacity of every individual. This in turn results in poverty followed by increasing burden of debt. We can’t really eliminate poverty and unemployment and poverty but we have the power to minimize it. The unemployed and those who are willing to earn additional income could spend their time turning trash into cash at the lowest cost possible. We believe that trash is only an excess resource that should still have value and should not be taken for granted. Generating income opportunities and utilizing resources are only two key factors of hundreds to deal with the dual problem of unemployment and poverty.
Trash to Cash: A Sustainable Livelihood through Business Literacy Goals Through Business Literacy, Trash to Cash aims to aid individuals in the community in their financial needs and establish a livelihood that would benefit themselves but also their environment. Objectives Specifically it sought to reach 40 individuals in the community and increases their income by 30%. Also, it pursued to reduce the community’s waste by atleast 20% monthly. The progress reports shall be based on the individuals income earned monthly and the community’s data towards waste.
