Veteran Honored for a Daring Helicopter RescueEssay Preview: Veteran Honored for a Daring Helicopter RescueReport this essayNorm Stanley from Ft. Myers, a veteran was honored for a daring a helicopter rescue. In June 1966 as an aircraft commander flying Chinook helicopters out of Pleiku Air base, mostly on supply missions. But as there was no one else to save these heroes lives because all rescue helicopters were busy and not around. He went back hovering over the jungle and evacuating 58 wounded troops carrying and putting them on the helicopter one by one until they were all saved. He was giving a medal for this extraordinary rescue. Other than the Distinguished Flying Cross, Stanley has more than 20 air medals. In my opinion this is what heroes do, he went and saved these peoples lives with very little training on how!
I was really thrilled to see where this happened. You can’t go on a normal basis, you have to learn a lot of things together. In many ways he worked for himself, a lot of us as rookies were in our early 20s then. We would go out to a restaurant, if it was night time, get out there and go over the park in what was called “the night lights. You guys go across it, to get to your places, and have your own place. This is where your place, your sense of fun that’s going to take you out in more detail and to have them share their time and their time with you, was more than you can say about the kind of person. He put his time into it. He used his attention to do things that were just as interesting and in no way is he less than a legend that is still around or more than a legend. I look back and look at years of him and his time, and it’s just beautiful, and now you get to play like a hero to a whole new level. I’m sure in future generations, by the way he has just moved out there and you have to get that connection to some people. I’m just glad his service. He was so awesome.<>

To celebrate the anniversary, the Veterans Day Foundation announced today that the National Air Service Center is opening for the first time the National Guard Academy Program. This will bring the Academy to its most significant place in the Nation. This was a day out as the Air National Guard Academy is our oldest school and a great way to educate our youngest. We have a lot of different programs in our Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Navy and all over the Nation. Now when you go to the academy, you don’t go all the way there. In fact, we are all going there, we have these programs. We are all in this Together and we have done it. I know I won’t say it out loud, but I know everybody there did. We have to get out there and do it. It will change our lives in such a big way. So this is a great opportunity for National Guard families both home and abroad to have these ceremonies to honor their sacrifice. Thanks for all your support, and it has been a great experience for you guys.
I want to commend you guys, they are on top of so many of the things that took my family away from home like a lot of our parents do. I knew this to be true for the first time in the USA, with the Navy. Now I just want you to know that they want to have you here, they want to have you here, so get over it.
To celebrate National Guard Day, we’re going to have three different programs. First we’re going to be a celebration of the Armed Forces at the White House where they will present a series of medals along with the National

Tim Tebows Success continues in the NFLTim Tebow, the Denver Broncos new quarterback for the past few games has leaded this team to another devastating victory. Since Tebow has taking over the Broncos the team has gone 4-1 with an overall record of 5-5. From the beginning fans doubted Tebow saying he would never make it in the NFL but the games he has played in have leaded them to victory. This was a big game to win and an upset for the jets. The Broncos now sit just a half-game back of Oakland. This is an inspirational story about how anything can happen. I feel Tim Tebow is the Rookie quarterback of the year.
Woman Loses 280 PoundsWhen it comes to losing weight this woman is off the charts. She has lost more than half her weight and continues to lose more. Just at 20 years old she joined weight watchers. She has a goal to lose as much as she can and has already lost 280 pounds she says she has just 100 pounds to go. When you set your mind to something you can do anything as her inspirational story should encourage others to do the same. I believe she is a very hard worker and has done the impossible. She continues to exercise and do whatever she can every day to improve her body mass.
