The Movement of American Forces into Europe
The movement of American forces into Europe started in the early 1900 after the commence of World War I. It is true that the American army played a great part on the culmination of the mentioned. However, it was not after the end of World War II that the American Army actually really started its establishment into the Europe region. The American army after the culmination of WWII saw the need for coalition forces to set a base within the European region in order to rapidly counter attack enemy forces. In part this was to stop any German counter offense after the war. However, it is noted that the Russian army became a more apparent enemy after the war. This was the beginning of the Cold War between Russia and some Western countries and more specifically the United States of America. During the beginning of this Cold War, the American government saw the need to create more bases around the Germany territory as well as countries with key locations. These countries were arrayed within Europe. However, the more precise locations for these bases where placed within Germany. At the initial of the Cold War, the American Army along with other coalition forces placed bases strategically around the Eastern border of Germany. Precisely Germany borders with Poland and the ex Chhekoslovakia Republic. Imminent threat to Americans around was so much the cause to establish more bases, but the Russian control of these two mentioned countries. Russia moved forces to the eastern borders. Russia controlled a vast part of the Eastern areas of the former Germany.
