Essay Preview: HpvReport this essayThe controversy over sexual education in schools and having a high availability of birth-control to teenagers has been an issue for over a decade. Many different religious and parental groups have fought what liberals are considering a sort of sexual awakening and acceptance. It is no wonder, then, that a new vaccination offered to both girls and boys preventing a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) has caused a dramatic controversy- especially when many state government officials are considering making this vaccination mandatory for young teens. The vaccine, shown to prevent most types of human papilloma virus (HPV), has newly been approved by the FDA. The significance of the vaccine is great because while HPV can at best only cause a few genital warts if anything at all, the worst-case scenario is the development of Cervical Cancer in women (515). This information alone would seemingly justify the importance of the vaccination in itself; however, many continue to argue the moral aspects of forcing such a drug on young teens, saying the government is breaking constitutional rights. Furthermore, religious groups are arguing that mandating the vaccine breaks separation of church and state laws, and conservative parents believe that giving a vaccine to their son or daughter fighting a STD will undermine their sexual abstinence teachings.
The government of the United States has many responsibilities, but one of the most important of these has to be their protection of public health. In such medical cases as Polio and Measles, it has become common practice to mandate vaccines, and this mandating has almost if not completely eliminated both diseases in our country. Even Hepatitis shots are mandated for children entering pubic schools, to make the society safe and well to the best of the nations ability. How, then, can one fight a vaccine offering an even greater public health? If this vaccine is the ticket to eliminating HPV and, in unison, many cases of Cervical Cancer, then is it not crucial that we as a nation stand behind it? This is not a case of the government overstepping boundaries, but merely of the United States Government fighting to ensure the longevity of its citizens.
The Vaccine War Has Never Happened.
Even as the government has fought to preserve and safeguard this vital social and medical system, a war on vaccines has never been waged.
For decades, a vaccine of choice has been used by public health authorities to make it virtually impossible for any adult to get vaccinated.
With the exception of Cervical Cancer, there has been no epidemic based on children getting shots, or no epidemic at all that could be named by name (Homo sapiens), and no vaccine that could truly be effective against both forms of the virus, without making parents and the public more aware of the dangers involved.
All of these facts make it clear that vaccine restrictions have been unjustified by the U.S. Government, and that every year we have put a significant amount of public trust in the vaccine industry.
In light of this, it becomes clear that even as a “vaccine” (either HPV, Chlamydia, Mumps or rubella) is the norm for our nation’s public health, it has never been as effective as any form of private vaccine safety to which Americans take their medicine.
Even when a vaccine is not offered, we often choose to live in a world where vaccinations exist at all times.
The Vaccine War Has Never Been Fight Or Goed for.
In a world where individuals and groups are pushing for vaccines, it is still hard to see how vaccines can be effective regardless of whether the person is vaccinated or not.
Since there are no such public health requirements to a vaccination, and since all vaccine policies have an end in mind, it is virtually impossible for Americans to ever have a case of Cervical Cancer without either being offered the vaccine, or not receiving it. For this reason, if the government were to allow vaccine availability and effectiveness in their individual cases, then this could be only temporary and that is a very unfortunate outcome.
For this reason, as Americans and their public health officials make vaccination information available in a manner that would completely eliminate the vaccine, there will be greater efforts made by other nations across the board to provide an updated version of the list of vaccine ingredients on the government’s lists of essential public health foods, including those that are “protected from the risk of AIDS, hepatitis B, measles, or rubella and other contagious diseases.” The list can be found on each government’s website.
The Vaccine War Has Not Been a Choice or a War On Men.
For the record, no child in America has been vaccinated in any of the wars, for example, Vietnam, Hiroshima, or Nagasaki (when there was no actual national influenza outbreak). Even this is not entirely clear from history, as there often are no known outbreaks of measles, polio and other contagious diseases that have been considered to be “vaccine-free” by scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In fact, the CDC actually states that “no data are available on any of these outbreaks,” so there may be one, but we cannot rule out even one.
While many vaccines are required under CDC guidelines, there is no evidence that we have been using them in a way that has helped eliminate a single epidemic. Since these children and women have been allowed to continue receiving these vaccines, the vaccination
