Greed, selfishness and hatred remain as constant as the human condition. The human condition comprises the totality of our experiences of being human and living human lives. As mortal entities, there are a series of determined events which are common to most human lives and some which are inevitable for everyone. The ongoing way in which humans react to or cope with these events is the human condition. Everything in human life depends on the manner in which we experience the human condition, how we respond to this condition and whether we manage the human condition in a creative or a destructive direction. Greed, selfishness and hated are part of our basic emotional construct with evolutionary underpinnings that is heavily influenced by our interaction to our environment. Our “environment” compromise of both internal and external influences and the molded history that is our knowledge and experiences. Society is also a great influence on our “environment” and in many ways society preserves our built in emotional constructs of greed and our other human responses such as fear, selfishness and hatred. The human condition is always changing because our “environment” is always changing but contradictory to that I believe that Greed, selfishness and hatred will remain set in our human condition as long as we have a world filled with money, entertainment and a socially oriented population then there will most likely be greed, selfishness and hatred in our human condition. Society therefore prevents greed and our other emotional constructs from slipping away from us. Look at the world around us today, everyone wants to grow up today and go to a collage or university so that they will be able to acquire the most money and when people acquire such money society deems that people shall spend it on the biggest houses, the biggest cars (i.e. selfishness). It is relatively peaceful in our lives but our human condition today still as always harbors the emotional constructs such as greed for example. Greed however is not only just an “evil” emotion; we can benefit from it as well because under the right contexts, it can lead to wondrous achievements, and can spur our technological growth. Personally I think that these emotional constructs in our lives however do not rule over our lives, even though they are present we as people have choices and throughout the history of “mankind” these constructs have been constant
