The internet is a place that provides a wide range of information that is accessible over almost all the world. In past years the internets has develop very rapidly ranging from the invention of social networks, ecommerce and the ability to find information about any topic you can think of.
In the next five years other than being faster and free I would also like for it to be more secure, in regards to where you can permanently erase stuff that you would not want. Google and other search engines make it hard to do this because they store information for advertisement purposes. If this trend is continued I would also like to see some capability to be able to go back in time and view webpages or search history from years ago. I would also like to see a reduction of spam and unnecessary popups.
I would also like the internet to see more advancement in cloud services being offered, for example Google docs offering more components other than word and excel. Etc. Some people find it hard to purchase the MS Office software and if Like myself you download the trial then sometimes you may not be able to do so but having these services like MS Publisher or the editing documents software on the cloud could help to temporary solve the problem.
I would also like to see more innovative ways of communicating and further evolvement of social networks. I think that these have become a big part of our society that enables everyone with internet access to be able to get in touch with anyone from across the world.
