Nineteen-year-old Christy Miller has been studying in an international university in Basel, Switzerland and enjoyed the workload of volunteering for the orphanage near by. Despite all her wonderful experiences she was looking forward to see her two closest friends, Todd and Katie that were on their way to Basel for their three-week adventure in Europe.
There stood Christy at the crowed platform in the June sky trying not to awake the streams of tears that made her feel last Christmas when she had gone home to California. But just as she saw her favorite blond-haired surfer boy those endless streams of tears were unfold. Christy’s wish finally became true to see her friends. But the trip got off on a rocky start because the very well organized Christy had planned out the entire trip but her itinerary did not include camping. Her two friends didn’t catch her last email that contained all the information about what they were going to do so they went on and planned to go camping with an old friend, Tonio.
The camping trip was a complete disaster for Christy anyway. She was wet, cold and she just had enough of this wilderness that she just could not get used to it. Even though her friends looked like they had the time of their life going hiking and cooking the fish on an open fire they understood Christy when she made her confession that the whole camping trip was not growing on her. The three adventurers with their good friend Tonio were heading down to what Tonio called his hometown. They were all clean, fed and were on their way for what Christy thought was an adventure.
Christy wonders if her close relationship with Todd is still there because Christy can’t get a minute alone with Todd to talk about their relationship.
