In “Dropping Way Out”, it expresses how Beth decided to drop out of school because she found it hard to wake up early for class and didnt want to deal with the headaches that school may bring. She felt that getting a job and working would be more comfortable and beneficial to her, but instead it was the total opposite. She had to be at work even earlier than school and did not get paid much for her work. A lot of times she even had to work very late hour or weekends and missed out hanging with her friends. The money that she was making could not help her get a car and she spent up most of her check on transportation to and from work. Beth barely had enough money to pay her rent each month. If Beth had stayed in school she would have been able to get a better job because of her education rather than struggle somewhere and still have no high school diploma. She learned the hard way that without a high school diploma, her life was going to be twice as hard; harder even that attending high school. Now, she has no one to blame but herself for making such a bad decision. Hopefully, she smartens up and go back to school. She will then be able to get a decent job and would not have to live such a hard life. Some people only learn lessons the hard way, much to their own surprise.
