1* 66- 23.5 = 46.5
The temperature increases a few readings after adding the Zinc because the reaction starts to occur. It then reaches its peak and begins to decline.
Reaction occuring:
CuSO4 (aq) +Zn (S) →Cu(S) + ZnSO 4 (aq)
Observations:
Blue + Grey fine powder → Red + Clear
Ionically:
Cu2+ (aq) + Zn(S) → Cu(S) + Zn 2+(aq)
Calculations:
Copper Sulphate: concentration- 1.0 mol/dm3
Volume – 0.025 dm3
mol= C * V
= 1 * 0.025
= 0.025 mol
