Brake system for two wheeler vehicle has been developed. The model is developed with SOLID WORKS 2010. This system is actuated by the gear and rack arrangement. This system uses the force from the braking pedal applied by the driver. The force is transmitted through the gear arrangement inside the drum. Then it is transferred to brake shoe via a rack. Here without the intervention of hydraulics, the power is transferred through the linkages. Power at the end of the brake at shoe is greater in this type of twin leading gear actuated brake then the cam actuated leading/trailing brakes. It has moderate stopping distance between cam actuated leading/trailing brakes. It can be replaced with one another while any of the above braking is used in one wheel. It will give overall efficient braking system when it is accompanied with drum or disc brake. The power at the braking of wheel for the applied of 200N the load developed is 8000N which is compared with 2000N of cam actuated drum brake.

The model is developed with the theoretical formulation of load of 200N. based on the braking system of TVS star city. The gear module and diameter are computed theoretically. It has been calculated that the load transfer in gear actuated brake for the applied load of 200N; the wheel brake shoe will get the 8000N. It is comparable with the current braking system which gives the braking force for 4000N for the same 200N force at the brake pedal. The max pressure in braking area is 11.32N/mm2 which is of 5.66N/mm2 in cam actuated braking system. Thus we can ensure that braking distance also been considerably reduced in this gear actuated braking system.
