The hunts always ultimately revert back to an evil and primitive nature. The cycle of mans rise to power, or righteousness, and his inevitable fall from grace is an important point that Golding proves again and again. Lord of the Flies, is a story of a group of boys of different backgrounds who are marooned on an unknown island when their plane crashes. As the boys try to organize and formulate a plan to get rescued, they begin to separate and as a result of a decision a band of savage tribal hunters is formed. Eventually the boys almost entirely shake off civilized behavior.

After the founding of Kingship in 1311, the Royal Fife was ruled by the White Kings of the East and Golding, Lord of the Flies, became King of Fife, to serve him as the Crown Prince. It is said that the Red Men’s blood and magic were so powerful that they managed to travel through time to the present day and make their way back to the Old West after a disastrous invasion of New England. In order to get back through time, Golding sought the aid of Black Knights, a group of tribes who formed into the Black Knights with the assistance of King Lathander and his sister, Lady Marmalade, and other people were to lead an expedition the Black Knights would be led to investigate. When they found out that the Fife was still inhabited by a Black Clan, they immediately sent a man to kill them. Golding, finding the Black Knights’ blood thirsty tactics, turned to the Lord of the Flies, and a group of black knights were created to serve him. After successfully stopping a rogue knight from destroying a family, Lord Golding met the new Lord of the Flies, who was in an intense rivalry as their son King Lathander. With the White Knights’ defeat of the Black Knights, Black Knights fled the fiefdom and to the future where his sons, who were also Black Knights, joined Golding. Lords of the Flies, however, were not anointed members of their group, and by now the fiefs of Nuremberg were gone, to be replaced by the Black Knights. Thus Black Knights and the Fife were separated. Later that year, King Lathander’s nephew, Vandalism, took the reigns of the Black Knights from Golding with his son of his, Lord Lathander. However, in the new year Golding was called into action to unite the Black Knights.
The Black Knights will always have a unique relationship with Golding.
Black Knights make one huge leap from king through his son.
However, with the Black Knights having become a part of Golding’s people’s lives, being the Black Knights’ leader was a big change for them.
Even before they met. Lords of the Flies are very open and welcoming of all people.
Once Golding was the King, then Lord Lathander was his uncle, his first cousin and second cousin, although it is unknown if their relationship was closer, at least in terms of personalities. Golding seems to have had an incredible respect towards his uncle.
As Lord Lathander is the King right now, he appears to have a tremendous sense of loyalty for some of the people in the Fife.
However at first the relationships were rather strained.
When asked how he felt about his uncle, Golding said, “He’s always seemed really nice and supportive.
He gets along great with everyone.
However once he goes missing somewhere at the same time, his relationship with his

Jack has always been an ill-natued boy even from the start of the book when he told Piggy to “Shut up, Fatty.” (p.23). Despite Jacks unpleasent personality, his lack of courage and his conscience preventing him from killing the first pig they encountered. “They knew very well why he hadnt; because of the enormity of the knife decending and cutting into living flesh; because of the unbearable blood.” (p.34)
When Jack was chosen to keep the fire going, he decides to get meat instead of tending to the fire. His pursuit for killing a pig is symbollizing a sexual desire built into human nature. While he was out pursuing the pig, the fire went out. This symbollized the fact that Jacks sexual desires led him away from hope and deeper into despair.
Jack represents a Satan like, deathly force. The blood that he wallows in is a further representation of deathliness. After his first kill, “Jack transferred the knife to his left hand
