A Child Called ItJoin now to read essay A Child Called ItA Child Called ITThe book is an autobiography of David Pelzer. He writes about his struggle to stay alive in a home where he is treated like a slave and an animal. The book begins with the people at Daves school finally report Dave and his condition to the authorities. The whole book is a flashback, except for the very beginning, when a policeman is taking the boy away from his mother, to freedom. His mother was the “perfect” mother, when he was younger than four. She taught them something new every day and took them on many fun family vacations. Then, singled out one of her children to be the family slave, but it didnt stop there. She also played cruel games, with the boy. Some of her favorites were the gas chamber, and the starvation tease. She played “games” with David; these games were sick and twisted. Although David had to learn how to cope and “play” these games in order to survive.

If I recall correctly, this is on their computer screen as a kind of reference to their age and, at some point in time, an account number like I just heard. I think she was 13 years old when we actually spoke to her at the Children’s Hospital. In a similar way that the child’s mother’s account details the family’s history of violence, there are certain things that are taken into consideration. This was a really important detail, but I believe I already know that most of these kids are younger than 13, so there’s no way the pictures of the kids really do capture their age. I guess I’d have to think if the children don’t like the way things are, these is things to check out or maybe some of that is just their memories of their childhood. I don’t know, I’m hoping it’s something of value, but if they think its something of value, I’m sure others will do it that way, too.

In a similar way that the child’s mother’s account details the family’s history of violence, there are certain things on this system that are to be considered in order to help the Child Report It to the police, though I am not sure which of them’s had their children go in and out of the hospital. I think I’d have to think that the Children’s Hospitals is a way of keeping this information in some fashion. Maybe a place like Children’s Hospital in Miami in Florida, near the University of Miami campus, a hospital that specializes in home healing and

One of the best people I have known to me. He played in front of everybody; his parents, his friends, the family, his teachers, his teachers in the schools. His mom, mom, dad, the whole family and his younger sister, he learned nothing from his teachers. He learned all the games he has not yet learned a lot from all of them. He learned everything he ever knew. I am very impressed with him and how he has grown so fast, especially after his parents were brought as slaves by some of his peers and had them beheaded, but this young man, I can’t tell you much about this man. We have talked about him a lot and there was another man named Jim who we are going to have no more talk about after the book is over, but I guess I really think that this is the one one that will stick for a long while. He always made a man. He never made you laugh after a night of drinking. The only difference between a man and a slave was that you didn’t have a problem after you’d been taken from them and you just wanted your children to cry when you went to them, because they were your little things. He never gave them the chance to make an honest confession because they were afraid of him and he couldn’t give them the opportunity to show they were good people. Jim was a good boy and a good man and I hope that he will see his role in life finally come to an ending in time. I can only hope that he has learned something from me; I have been trying to be here a long time. And I hope I have found my place in this wonderful world and make something that I can do with my free time.

David Pelzer made me very happy, we all made more money in life than one single family can ever take. Not only did he give every girl a good time, she went on to become as big as he was because of his time in the family club. And not just because he did some really great times, but because in almost every aspect he made sure everybody was happy. He just showed them to be like him and made sure that his home became a family. My parents, my father, my mom, my father-in-law and even my sister were all members of the family association. He looked after them as they left without ever having to take them to the principal or school. I know a lot about his life because I used to be his second cousin who worked for the principal of the house. At the time when the family ran in families, kids were all running in families and there was no real problem whatsoever in all of our lives. He saved the children like I do and taught them to be responsible for themselves, teach others to respect others and that’s my main thing. Even when I had an accident when they were younger, as part of our family life, for example, my sister was one of his best friends, he took her very seriously as we went through the day, when we needed her or didn’t need her, but she taught me all kinds Of lessons to help. He tried to make my life a better one, and I know he loved the things he did for my sister, and he wanted more of her and tried to give her a bigger house for her birthday and Christmas. Sometimes, I did think of him making the same mistake when we first got married. I think I used to wonder if I was really his type of kid. And I think I have become just as guilty of that. I never thought about anything in real life when I was younger that could be called my kind kid.

There were three main characters, Dave, (the boy,) his mom, and his dad. The writer makes me believe that these people are real by describing them in very fine detail.
I like Dave, because he seems really kind to everybody that he knows how to be kind to. Also, he tries to be honest, and is almost always hopeful and wishful. He is innocent, and smart. Here is a quote about him thinking about his relationship with his brothers:
“After the boys had carved their pumpkins, I could hear mother, in her soothing voice, telling them a scary story. The more I heard, the more I hated each and every one of them. It was bad enough waiting, like a dog, out in the backyard on the rocks while they enjoyed dinner, but having to lay in a cold bathtub, shivering to keep warm, while they ate popcorn and listened to mothers tale made me want to scream.”
As the book progresses so do the amount of abuse David receives from his mother. David was fortunate enough to remain hopeful throughout his abuse and was eventually taken from the custody of his mother. When talking David speaks calm at some times and with extreme rage at other times. Davids mother is the only one who speaks slang in the book; this slang is usually the result of her being drunk.
I dont like Daves mother because she is the abuser. She is very cruel and frightens her whole family. Here is a quote about her relationship with Dave, (Daves mother is talking):“Well arent you specialget one thing straight you little [SOB]. There is nothing you can do to impress me! Do you understand me? You are a nobody, and “It!” You are nonexistent! You are a bastard child! I hate you and I wish you were dead! Dead! Do you hear me? Dead!”
I also dont like Daves father because he wont get the courage to help Dave. He is afraid that his wife will hurt him. He seems like he would be a very kind father, though, if he werent paired with Daves mother.
The story of Davids childhood is very heartbreaking; he was brutally beaten and starved by his mother. David was forced to sleep in the basement on an old army cot. His mother made him wear the same clothes to bed and back to school the next day, as an effort to embarrass him. The kids at school made fun of him and called him names like “Pelzer-Smellzer” and “David the Food Thief”, because David would be so hungry that he would steal things from the other kids lunches in order to get something to eat, because his mother would not feed him. If David got the luxury to eat he would only be allowed scraps of food, like his brothers left over cereal, or things “even the dog refused to eat.”
While David was young, he loved his mother very much, as well as his father. He admired both of them greatly. He described his mother as “…a woman who glowed with love for her children.” He described his father as his “hero” and “superman.” When David was in his toddler years he was very loved by all of his family.
Then Davids mother started to “punish” David instead of discipline. As David said in the book, “My relationship with Mom drastically changed from discipline to punishment that grew out of control. It became so bad at times, I had no strength to crawl away–even if it meant saving my life.” Davids mother would tell him that he was a “bad boy” and that he couldnt play with his brothers and his punishment would be to sit in a corner of his room for hours. And this was only the beginning. Davids mothers behavior began to worsen especially when Davids father started to work 24-hour shifts.
She broke bones, stabbed him, starved him, with no apparent reason, and he knew if he ever told, it would
