This illness can also age people faster than normal, setting the state for disastrous health problems, such as heart disease, Alzheimers, diabetes, cancer, and other age-related diseases.
Symptoms of Syndrome X include: feeling unable to think, feel as though the body is unresponsive, feeling extremely tired etc. -This usually causes tiredness because the person does not need to exert extra energy for it to happen.
For a condition of this type, there are a variety of medications used to treat the disease. Some treatment options include dieting which can cause dehydration, dehydration causing a more intense feeling of thirst, or sleep deprivation. An early treatment for Syndrome X is: DPT (a vitamin and mineral treatment which has been shown to reduce symptoms of the disease.) Originally, when doctors first began researching the Syndrome X theory, they named it “X” because “X” often refers to the mysterious, the unknown. However, Syndrome X is no longer a mystery. It is an alarmingly common, and often ignored, disorder that can wreck a persons health. By living a hazardously unhealthy lifestyle people are setting themselves up to become more susceptible to many of the age-related diseases.
Syndrome X is becoming more prevalent as time progresses. “The consequences will age you prematurely, making you feel older than you should,” Syndrome X: The Complete Nutritional Program to Prevent and Reverse Insulin Resistance. People with this condition will also have an increased risk of practically every age-related disorder, including obesity, hypertension, nervous system disorders, eye disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and Alzheimers disease. In addition to the physical symptoms, people may also feel exhausted, spacey, depressed, irritable, or angry when they shouldnt be. Often times, people ignore theses symptoms of simply being exhausted and overworked, but actually, they are part of a deadly syndrome, Syndrome X.
Doctors who recognize the underlying cause of this epidemic call it by one of several often overlapping names: insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, glucose, intolerance, prediabetes, or Syndrome X. However, few people have recognized the full scope of this disorder: it affects, to one degree or another, the majority. Many people are also resistant to sugar, but this usually means they drink more soda. People with a strong stomach can tolerate sugary foods because of sugar content, but their desire to avoid carbs has no bearing on their eating habits.> 2
One of the simplest ways to lose weight while eating the Atkins Diet is to eat a diet consisting of whole grains and legumes, and stop drinking soda.

2 The Atkins Diet should be reduced to one single ingredient: sugar. So, what happens if a person can no longer produce enough sugar? Should they stay low fat? Should they cut back on processed foods or fast food?
2 @jash_kepler: This type of change only happens around the first 8 weeks and when it starts, it’s quite a step above being able to lose weight. We are constantly told that “only through dieting can we eat well”. We know that by eating sugar, we lose weight. But it hasn’t been proven on long-term trials. And, we need to keep in mind that dieting has no proven benefit over regular practice, such as eating less, eating less, or eating less often. All that matters is how you eat those things. As anyone who has experienced, well, anything in life should be taken with a grain of salt. Those of us who have been in the gym for an hour will find these stories to be very entertaining and interesting. So let’s just step back a bit and think about what the Atkins is now. It didn’t begin with a diet like the Atkins but instead is an attempt at a more moderate diet with some form of calorie loss, and with calorie restriction. The Atkins will be the next big thing.

Atkins is widely regarded as a successful method in reducing the risk of eating as you do in the Atkins Diet.
However, in reality, when the Atkins Effect comes into effect, your body is getting dangerously hungry, and you are feeling full, healthy, and full-freed. And all of a sudden it says, ‘We’re done for today.’ And you feel like you have all had the time and energy to take care of your normal eating, so we say, ‘Just walk on, go away; get you better, get you better, and you’ll be able to have a healthier life.’ This is usually the case with a diet based on The Atkins Diet.
Why? Because the Atkins Diet is such an extreme approach to weight control in and of itself. We know that a low carb, low carbohydrate diet, like the Atkins Diet promotes a very high intake of carbs through the manufacture of excess sugar in the body. For people who are craving high energy levels, however, then a low carb diet, like the Atkins Diet, promotes an unhealthy intake of carbohydrates (e.g., fructose) that eventually ends up causing overeating and increased insulin resistance. And even though most carbs are high in fructose, our body is producing too much fructose by turning on the body’s ‘adrenergic system’ in the process of inhibiting the production of glucose. All of this is not to say that carbs are bad. In fact, many of the people who were with us during the Atkins days (at least 40 of whom) did not have this problem. But in fact they were fed this same diet for 5 days and at least one patient (who spent 2 or 3 days without any problems with blood sugar or weight control) found the Atkins diet to be the best treatment.
Now you will see a few of our commenters using the analogy when they think, ‘The Atkins Diet has no impact!’ or ‘The Atkins Diet has no effect at all in my experience!’ But in fact, for those people who have no problems with blood sugar at all, the Atkins Diet does seem as good as everything else.
