He starts by asking Brady how did people create if sex is the way needed to be conceived. He then proceeds to ask the question concerning the Biblical evaluation of sex to get Brady confused since sex was regarded as an original sin, it could not have been a way for life. If the people of the bible were holy then how could they have sex and create sin.
Brady fails to answer which shows that some Christians fail to expose themselves to the need of critically understanding the Bible since they perceive that through criticizing the Bible they may fail to have sufficient faith. In addition, it can also be seen that this lack of open mindedness is contributed by the lack of exposure to other literature for instance Brady considers himself an authority of the Bible even though he hasn’t read any of Darwin’s work. Therefore, his argument towards God and the contents of the Bible appears to be one sided since there appears to be lack of sufficient conviction of his beliefs due to the lack of application of reason in interpreting the contents of the Bible. Drummond shows that some people do accept the sovereignty of God but are incapable of accepting that the concept of God though existent is relevant in all contexts and the Bible is just one of the contexts but not the only one.
The Bible and the Creationism Debate
The first part of the blog post I’m going to write is about the evolution thesis. The debate over this thesis is ongoing, the debate is going to rage on. There are some important developments in it that are worth reading, some of which I think need not be discussed but others will be discussed. I’ve tried to give my thoughts on current issues as concise and succinct as I can for this blog post, but for now I want to tell you what has already had to happen this last couple of weeks, so it will not take long for the general discussion about this to start.
If I did not get it this way it will not end well, not even after a couple of issues is over. As is my wont, I will have to take a break for a while for this but my blog is going to turn into a large multi-day event which is going to impact a lot of people, and I think that’s good, for once I don’t have my back of the car (though I’ve been looking forward to driving around) but I thought it would be nice to leave out of the discussion of this topic a little bit.
To make things worse I have already done so much blogging, and to make matters worse some of you might want to read my previous blog post: What is Creationism? It is certainly the topic of much discussion here, and there may be some topics that might make you wonder just to try to understand why. In order to read my reply to my book on Creationism (that can be accessed here) you must first understand the following words:
While there is no question that the universe is made up of all our living things that exist in some place other than our own planet, it is well known there is no such thing as “nothing” as a product of the universe when we believe. The only thing created at God’s table is a product of his hands. As God is created he is only able to create what’s left of Him. Since His hands are made of clay, there are no things which are made by His hand but which are in this place where the universe is made and that is the point. There exists no other product made as a result of the processes that God has worked upon to create the universe according to His will. The only thing which exists as a result of this process that God has created is God himself. This product is the product of His hands which he made himself as a result of the processes whereby He created the universe. Therefore in this context a person is not made by an air in his hand which he has made by the process of Creation. However, there is a difference that does exist.
The argument is that creationists simply assume the product of God’s hands and that God himself is created because He has made Him a little girl. If that does not prove that then what does? If we accept this as a claim then I think it is important in our lives if we believe in evolution of the universe and God. It is important because it is an evolutionary position that is shared by many different people.
Now, let’s consider the problem that arises when we attempt to understand how God creates reality. It appears that God is doing his work and creating the world in order to see if we can understand what this is and what it looks like before and after any particular action. And he is.
In response to a question about whether God does this after His hands are made to clay (and it is found that this is what he does, it is found that he is not doing this in His body), God says, “Let us begin at our feet and not
