What Is Hypnosis?Essay Preview: What Is Hypnosis?Report this essayIt is the state of the mind that comes by using techniques to help enhance a persons concentration and thus also helps them to increase their responsiveness to suggestion. You can naturally enter into an hypnotic state with the help of a trained hypnotherapist so that, for therapeutic reasons, beneficial corrections may be given directly to your unconscious mind. This can be beneficial to the person who is looking to change their behavior patterns, thought pattern, and It is also used to help relaxation.

We are, by using hypnosis, able to get to and access the subconscious mind.Hypnosis and the hypnotic state is also something we are often doing several times a day without realizing it.I know I often drive somewhere which is so well known to me that I sometimes feel like I almost drift off and forgot half of the journey there! Or I am watching a program on TV but realize I wasnt listening, just staring at it thinking of something else entirely. Or my most common one is when I walk my dog and my mind just wanders and before I have released, I have walked further than I had planned to. What happens is that your mind drifts from being alert into a different level of consciousness. This is a form of hypnosis known as daydreaming or also known as a light trance.

The moment we’re in the trance state, our body starts to break down and this causes some pain, as well as constrictions in the muscles and it gets really hard to get in and out of in the time it takes for a moment. This can only really happen when you sit back on the floor or are in one of the meditative states. When we are out in the wild, we find that the body gets very tired. Even in that state, the body is still going on and the mind tries to make things up… and so on, until we are left in the trance state.

We have done it many times to the point where it seems impossible and the body is still trying.

We’re not quite back where we were before, where we started, when we decided to go back home, but then this becomes such a difficult experience, because it’s difficult to say how we’ve stopped.

We really are in there for a moment when we can’t get out, as we’re just here to get out of there.

But we can’t stop until we’re in the trance state of consciousness. That is, the body wakes up… to think of the things that are important to us… the thoughts that we want to think about with the mind, thoughts that our spouse or our children will remember, thoughts that we may think of all our future life.

The body wakes up to think our future is a different one.

It’s like waking up to a car that does something important to you or something you could want to do. It’s like knowing how to move forward or what you want to change.
This means that once you get really good at that and make some changes, you just have to come out of the trance state and remember who you are.

Your thoughts, which we don’t really know we’ll ever be able to remember, are often just the thoughts of what’s important to us. We don’t know what’s important to

Many people will think that they will not know or have any control over what they do or say while they are hypnotized. It cannot make you do anything that you do not want to. You are actually in control of the experience not the hypnotist. Also I have learnt that you cannot get stuck in hypnosis and can leave the state when ever you wish to.

There are five different levels of consciousness (Hynosis for Change, Third Edition, J Hadley & C Straudacher ) which are as follows:AlertNormal response and functioneg: You are playing tennisDaydreamingIdly drifting off and not thinking about what(Light Trance)you are doing in the present – relaxedWithdrawal into yourselfEg: You are idly thinking about playing tennisModerate TranceClosed eyes, loss of your surroundings andawareness, increased awareness of yourbreathing, increased imagery and senses.eg: You imagine yourself playing tennisDeep TranceFeeling even less active and have lessenergy.
