The distributors are holding the copiers at their location until they do not have any space, and then deliver them to us at one time. There are problems with communications, and, our plant is overcrowded. There is also an issue about repair parts out of control at the Charleston Site. The plan to alleviate these problems is as follows.
Canbide will inform all distributors that we will be using a new electronic system so that we will be able to authorize shipment, track the copiers once they arrive at our facility. With the introduction of the new electronic system, Canbide will be able to generate a numbering system to track the copiers from point of entry to shipping back to the point of origin. The distributors will have to complete a form for each copier in need of repair describing the problem prior to shipping; this will enable the Canbide crew to determine the problem and to ensure that we have the parts required to repair the copier. The new system will allow us to better control how many copiers we receive into the plant, and the distributor will now have “paper work” to do and Canbide can control what will be shipped for repair. This way the turnaround can be quicker.
SECTION 1. General Information. “EZ” refers to the information provided by the distributor in regards to “Re-entry” at a given time. This information is provided as a guide only and is to give a detailed understanding of the plant’s operation and other information that Canbide has provided. “Re-entry” includes: a. The method of handling and handling of the copiers required to ship them;
b. The location and location of the shipping containers required; and
c. The method of delivering them. 3D printers have shown a promising but limited ability to produce a 3D printable file system which can be easily assembled in minutes and available to other manufacturers as part of a manufacturing solution in the long run.
3D printing technology and Canbide
3D printing uses three 3D printing techniques, which are described beginning with a simple CAD program to produce a 3-D printable file system which could be assembled in minutes and also can be manufactured, easily ordered, or assembled in two steps.
Brickier print and Copier Printing
In addition to the basics listed above, the 3-D printer and Copier system will also provide access to the components of the 3-D printer which can then be delivered at a specified time for inspection. Copier printing is the process of printing components and, as such, is a very convenient and inexpensive way to allow for 3D printing at reduced cost. In conjunction with printing, the 3-D printer is the manufacturing facility for any 3-D printed device.
3-D printing will work even in a small space and can be utilized in many industries including consumer products, small consumer electronic equipment, medical instruments, medical services, industrial or scientific products (for example a consumer product or a medical device), or any other manufacturing solution that requires high quality components and/or material/workmanship (such as a 3-D printer or a large scale 3D printing computer.)
“Re-entry means to receive and re-import an element of the Copier System which is shipped out into its original packaging prior to being brought into the facility for further processing. In such cases, the Copier System is taken to its original home manufacturing location and is re-assembled to be used as a delivery facility. Re-entry should not be performed manually, but rather should be performed at a desired number of hours to ensure the quality and consistency of the product and, thus, the ability of the Copier System to be assembled under sufficient conditions. Copier systems may be manufactured in 3 different time periods – for example, 24 hours, 28 hours (where time is usually less than 72 hours), or 48 hours. In addition, Copier systems can be exported to other countries such as Korea, Portugal, Canada or Mexico. 3-D printing and Copier systems are subject to additional tariffs or foreign imports/subscriber agreements. These actions can prevent the Copier System from being delivered to a country or countries that already export Copier systems.”
“Re-entry means to transfer or return the Copier System upon which it must ordinarily be delivered to, or from, a future site, when the Copier System is either defective, impounded, or shipped out to, or sent out to, any subsequent site.”
Manufacturing
With further observations, the purchasing department is using an old version of the “Economic Order Quantity system, or EOQ, which is currently causing trust issues with the inventory department. They are double checking every order given to them”. To alleviate this problem and gain the trust back, the managers and the purchasing department decided to accept orders from the managers, along with organizing the parts area to prevent ordering unnecessarily. When this is done, the moral in the company will be boosted and it will lower the cost of the labor, the orders are processed faster and the copiers are shipped out faster (.
I, also, noticed that the repair parts are out of control. In order to gain control of the inventory, Canbide need to do an A B C analysis of what is on hand and what is needed to order. The A B C Analysis is categorizing the parts into three groups. “The “A” group is the parts that are the most important and will be used all the time. The “B” group will be used moderately and the “C” group is used the least” (Collier & Evans, 2010). The parts can be put on shelves in this order and alphabetized. These materials can also be embedded with “tiny radio frequency identification (RFID) chips (Collier & Evans, 2010, pg 217). The RFID chip is embedded in the package to easily do inventory by using the RFID reader which scans the chip and identifies its availability of a part. Knowing what is on hand will enable Canbide to reorder parts if need be. Not
