Musical culture of Brazil
What is music? Music is a universal language. It crosses cultural and ethnic backgrounds. People relate to music through expressive and receptive communication. Music is very important in our social. It is related to everything. We cannot live in the world without music. Some people may feel that I was exaggerated. But thats true and that does happened in Brazil. Music is the heart of Brazil and is the foundation for many of their festivities. I think samba has to be the heart of Brazils music and I want to find out why is it so popular in Brazil.

After I watch the video at class, I thought about Samba a lot. Samba is a powerful and versatile server application. Even seasoned system administrators must know its abilities and limitations before attempting installation and configuration. And the lecture also talks about this a little bit. Samba has already become an important musical heritage in Brazil. Treva Bedinghaus says in his article that “Samba is considered the dance of celebration and joy at Carnival celebrations in Rio. Lively and rhythmical, there are many types of Samba dances, just like there are many types of Samba music (Treva Bedinghaus)”. The Samba dance is the heart and soul of the music and dance throughout the country. It does not just influence Brazilian also the dance and music lovers around the world. From Gerard Béhagues article, “Fryer seems to hold to the anachronistic notion that ethnicity is the sole factor of cultural identity (Gerard. Béhague)”. I really agree with this. The ethnicity cant be the biggest problem for musical. Musical shouldnt be divided by different races. How we listen to the music. We listen to the rhythms and melody. And we listen to story that this song wants to tell us. So its really not about races.

I think samba is so popular because it has the essence of Brazil music: soothing, healing, inspiring, and energizing. According the lecture that Ive read, it talks about Africa musical culture a lot through rhythms of resistance. It says, “In nine chapters, the author treats (respectively) the heritage, Brazils Atlantic dances, the emergence of Brazilian popular music, and Maxine and modern samba (Gerard. Béhague).” Samba, The musical culture that has spread throughout Brazil is astonishing. He who embarks on a musical journey is bound to be captured in an endless world of rhythm and harmony. Brazil is without doubt the most musical country on the planet. Their music embraces everybody who welcomes music with heart and soul. Samba is the most famous of the various forms of music arising from African roots in Brazil. From the lecture and the information I research from Internet, it is said that Samba connects everyone in Brazil because whatever they are rich or poor they all like to dance the Samba. Samba already became a natural part of the Brazilian
