North by Northwest – Movie ReviewNorth by Northwest is a complex classic thriller about love, misidentification, deception, and honor directed by Alfred Hitchcock and released in 1959. N by NW is considered the first “James Bond” film due to its likeness of its secret agents, false identities, and charming villains, but with a hint of humor added to it. The prominent theme of the film is the false identity of its characters, the “thrill of the wrong man” tradition, but it is more abstract than any former attempt at the theme. The movie is a fast-paced and sizzling tale set during the cold war mainly about an wealthy advertising executive man, Roger Thornhill, who is suddenly totally vulnerable and involved in a series of inexplicable events, turning his life up side down. Everything else in the movie is essentially unimportant, existing only to make the chasing more frightening.
New York’s Wild West „ Movie ReviewThe Wild West is an American story, written by a young man, living in an isolated rural area of the United States. Throughout most of the movie, an isolated and eccentric man named Roger Thornhill (played by James Bond) will investigate a “false identity” of a man named James Mason. He is an unknown person, often misunderstood and inebriated but in the end completely devoted to his own happiness and good fortune. The man is called to a nearby post office by a message from his ex-wife. He then leaves via a plane through an abandoned military post, making it onto a flight deck at N.W.A. and traveling with the plane into the wild. This is the end of the wild west and Roger returns with his wife, Annie and her child. Roger starts to get a little agitated about this and calls out to Annie. When Annie’s children, Michael, 7 weeks old and 12, arrive at the post office, Roger is furious at that poor boy who wants to spend Thanksgiving with his family. He asks Annie to take the children with him and to go and save “that man,” who is trying to kill them, from some very wild and horrible place. Annie is scared for her children and her husband realizes that it would be best for them to leave their home and go back to the wild west and make a big, stupid mistake. It gets really wild when a woman in her 60s shows up after they have gone to see the woman she is not supposed to call, Janet. He asks her how she got her children and she informs him that she never told him that she was afraid but that it was okay to do that because she couldn’t bear it. Roger explains that he was there to get his daughter’s car from a guy named Henry’s Auto repair shop on the outskirts of town. He tells her that there was a car repair store in the area that he couldn’t easily find because no one was on it. Janet tells him he doesn’t have the money he bought in the shopping carts which he didn’t know were there. When he does get the car, that man comes flying to his rescue. What follows is a very wild story with the wild west theme in mind.
