Wal-Mart has a lot of Opportunities for the People
When Sam Walton first opened Wal-Mart in 1962, his mission was to help people save money. He tried to help people save money in every way he could and help his employees have a good place to work. Sam Walton worked hard until the day he died to make sure his plan and mission was followed. It was not easy for Sam to have low prices anytime, anywhere but he did it because his mean concern was his customers. Sam tried to please all customers whether they know matter what colored, shape, size, or religion they were. Wal-Mart sells all kinds of great food, drinks, laundry supplies, cleaning supplies, technology supplies, toys, personal supplies, clothes, and much, much more to please his customers.

Wal-Mart did lose a lot of brand equity in 2010 but they still remain the most valuable retail brand for the third year running. Brand equity is would be the added value to a brand name identity that would bring to a service or product beyond the functional benefits that the product or service may provide. (Failla, 2011) Wal-Mart lives by their marketing objectives which would be to always sale the lowest prices, always give the customer excellent services, and never stop advertising through commercials, newspapers, magazines, sales papers, and any other means possible. The process of Creative destruction was unleashed by Wal-Mart due to their low prices. Creative destruction is the “process of industrial mutation that incessantly revolutionizes the economic structure from within, incessantly destroying the old one, incessantly creating a new one.” (Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, 2014) But Wal-Mart has kept their marketing strategy so they can offer many different products at a low cost. They are also trying to go with a mobile app to help with the sales and they have implemented the online shopping for customers convenient.

Wal-Mart tries to please everyone that comes in their store. They have a variety of different products so that no one will be left out. They even got several Christian books and media to make sure that the religious people are not left out. Their target market is everyone around the world to enjoy the low prices. They do not discriminate against anyone and they want to serve and please everyone.

The organizational structure of Wal-Mart is multidivisional structure. Multidivisional structure is many different self-contained units in a company that will operate on their as their own entity. A divisional structure usually has its own functions or resources to operate within their division. Wal-Mart has 13 divisions in their operations. Ray Lucio (2012) stated in his blog the organizational structure divisions Wal-Mart has:

1. ASDA Stores (U.K. division)
