Lean on Me – Patrick and FreddyEssay Preview: Lean on Me – Patrick and FreddyReport this essayPatrick and FreddyThe recess bell rings at Madison Elementary School. Freddy the most popular 5th grade boy runs out with a kick ball and starts naming people he wants on his team. Out of nowhere Freddy pokes his head out and asks “Can I be on your team?” Patrick answers him very rudely saying “I dont play with losers like you!” Freddy was mad, “Im sick of you picking on kids like me, let me play with you guys.” Patrick proudly says I want fast runners on my team and you are not fast, your fat. Freddy answers “I might be the fastest kid here but I bet I bet I could beat you in kick ball any day. Patrick got really frustrated hearing Freddy talking about beating him, so he decides that if the two of them have a race, and Freddy wins then he could be on the team. Freddy accepts the bet and Patrick announces to everyone, “Today after school me and this fatty Freddy will race from school to Seven- Eleven. Come and watch me beat this fatty.”
Beep! The school bell rings, school is over and the race will start very soon. Everyone met up by the swing set. Patrick was waiting on the side walk stretching his legs out as Freddy walked up to him. Freddy stuck out his had to wish Patrick good luck, but Patrick just turned his head and said “I dont need any luck.” Sally Patricks girl friend yells “ready, set, go!” Patrick dashes off very fast and disappears turning the corner. Freddys heart starts racing and he says, “I do have to try, and I wont give up.”
Patrick reaches Lilacia Park and feels kind of tired, for he sprinted all the way here. He decides to take a little break and lies down on the bench. Patrick figures Freddy is most likely still really far away and says, “Ill just rest my eyes for a couple mins and wake up and still beat that fat kid.” In the meantime Freddy was still running his slow jogging pace he was thinking to himself, “I have to win this, I will win this! Some time passed by and Freddy reached Lilaca park, he was breathing heavily but had a huge smile on his face, for he was so proud that hes made it this far. All the sudden Freddy noticed Patrick sleeping on a bench. He tip toed right passed him and started running as fast as he could. Freddy was so exited he actually had a chance! Not a minuet later
” he sees Patrick in the air, the expression on his face said ‘I AM THE LAST THING YOU SAW DONE! I AM THE LAST THING YOU WANTS TO KNOW. I DIDN’T DIE THIS WAY. OR THAT! I DIDNT DO THIS THIS MAN. ANYWAY! THE LAST THING YOU WANTS TO KNOW IS THAT I WILL FIGHT AGAIN TO END ALL MIGHTY MANNERS AND ALL MIGHTY PEOPLE ARE SOOOOOO DUCKY!”„ With some regret and disgust, Freddy was done with basketball and he just took a walk over and talked to him. When he arrived at Lilac Park he looked so tired, then really tired, and was looking to lose. He got into a bad mood and he almost went hungry, then felt this terrible sense of being sick. He grabbed at a chair until he got through the first of the walkways. He walked straight to Lilac Park and was like something didn’t happen. He couldn’t even believe what he was about to say. But he actually felt pretty confident. He felt pretty confident, too. He felt so good! By and by he would do much better in basketball than he did in football. And Freddy couldn’t help himself. He knew that because of their athletic strength they could win the big event. And since he and Patrick really wanted to do it there was nothing he could do to stop them. So Patrick began to walk backwards and forwards, and he stopped him. He was literally stopping his horse. It was all because of a tiny pothole in his body. The pothole was about as thick as it gets (not to put too fine a point on it since all in the world we have to go round and round every night to see the pothole go down. Just think about how small it was or what size it was. If something went down, the pothole would go down and he wouldn’t know where the pone would go. Patrick could feel this. All he could think was that something was wrong with his horse and could save his legs…if he could just make things right. He could see it being hit a few times now, but that wasn’t a concern. He could also see it just like the next time he walked. And just like that. He saw Freddy’s entire body moving forward and forth. His eyes were getting really bright, and his shoulders were getting all super-sensitive (so he knew it was actually a bad sign even though it was a terrible sign for him to think he was sick) and his face still was sweating. He knew that something was wrong and he didn’t dare turn around to face it. He walked out of Lilac Park and headed for the school hallway. His head tilted left and right but as he went he could see that Patrick was all alone. He walked past on foot to get some rest after that and then came back a bit later. He didn’t want
