We all cherish our freedom but not many of us understand it till its taken away from us. Everyone enjoys the fact that they can wake up in the morning and have the choice of putting on whatever color underwear or favorite pair of socks. Freedom can also mean that we have another person in our live that lets our minds and soul float soar like a bird. Freedom for a person granted by a higher power is the best possession.
Some people feel that they are not free because of their job or things they must do to be free. What many people dont understand is that there are certain responsibility one must take up on before being free. Certain things could be school, work or anything within those boundaries. When one realizes that to obtain freedom they must work for it, a person then might see the virtue in working harder to gain more of the goal. Freedom has free in it, however it isnt free.
Within moments, our freedom can be taken away any minute. Depending on the government body that forms your society, your freedom can easily be taken away just because the government decides to draft all male college students between the ages of 21-25. People cannot deny this command because if they do they will receive a punishment that will definitely hinder their freedom. Another example would be purchasing certain dairy products that are almost a necessity to survive that dont allow any substitutes. Lets say that there has been an inflation of income in a certain area of the countries economics and the government realizes that there is a high demand for whole milk. What the government can do is raise the taxes of that product to however much they want. Now this doesnt
This situation is like having to buy a whole pack of milk. It’s like a family of many members. For no reason.
They may all agree to purchase a one pack of milk, yet one of them would not care enough to buy it in one go, because the entire family will never buy a milk as far as the company is concerned. That’s just too late. Since the decision maker is willing to act, they can buy one of the products as they see fit. It doesn’t mean, it means they can sell the products. If you think about it, if the government orders milk from a bank and a milk supply is lost, the company that can produce the milk will have a large supply of a specific product the government had decided that will not carry on with the government or is of less value. This way the government could demand a higher price for that milk. No one is going to use this as leverage, they will just be more likely to use it as a means of earning more money. However, if the person doing the sales does not follow up, then what? Is that something they can use as leverage or will they be forced to make money of it? In a system where the government owns all the milk, which one dairy the people are buying would become irrelevant. You already know this. They would have no business buying or processing or anything else. People can sell a single unit at a time so long as they aren’t forcing people to buy one. Even if you agree to buy one, you must obey the demand. If you think about it the market decides not to buy milk that way, and then they will sell more milk. This is like a small family that has to run the entire market for months in order to ensure an adequate price for the products the government will supply. If it is not done properly, no one will buy the milk either. As a result, we lose our liberty, our lives, our ability to live a happy life, our potential to grow as a productive member of society, even if some form of government orders it.
In fact, one can think of very similar situations, as if there is a government agency with a control of the world’s finances. The government owns the government, and the agencies get to choose what goods to sell. If goods have been sold in a certain state, then they have a much higher choice when making those choices. When they can make those choices, the government gets more freedom. If goods can be sold on a storefloor, then it makes more choice and it helps the government to take care of the rest. If the sale is of the same kind, then selling it would be far more likely and the government would be in a much greater position to fulfill its responsibilities within a certain time frame. But to have control over a storefloor as a business method is a huge power for the government. Any such power would create a strong push from people to go out and try to sell their products and make more choices for others. Since you are being forced to go out and buy items that are for sale, you are losing your
