It starts with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first and then conscious brings us aspire to lead. As a servant leader, youre a “servant first” – you focus on the needs of others, especially team members, before you consider your own. You acknowledge other peoples perspectives, give them the support they need to meet their work and personal goals, involve them in decisions where appropriate, and build a sense of community within your team. This leads to higher engagement, more trust, and stronger relationships with team members and other stakeholders. There are many positive aspects of servant leadership but following are some of the most important aspects in which a servant leader truly believe. A servant leader believes that every person has respect and deserves civility and respect because if servant leader do not believe on these basic values then neither that person is a leader nor a serving personality. The second believe which a servant leader carries is that servant leader believes that a person can accomplish a lot when they are inspired by a purpose beyond themselves. This means that a servant leader gives the freedom to the employees to think beyond the scope of company and individual freedom and liberty are encouraged rather than being curtailed by the boss of the company.Another very important trait of the servant leadership is that He/She listen with intent and observe everything closely  and they actively solicit their participation, their ideas, and their feedback. In time, they get to know the worldview of each one of their employees, and they tailor their leadership approach accordingly. Other important aspect is that he demonstrates persistence. If a servant leader is not getting desired outcomes from employees he/she instead of firing or getting mad with employees remain persistent in making the employee believe that he She can do it.This style of persistent leadership helps both the employee and company because in long term employee also put their extra work to meet the company requirements. Servant leaders realize that one or two conversations may not have the desired change in an employees assumptions or mindset. So they are tenacious and invest whatever time it takes to educate and inspire servant leadership practices in the members of their team.
