First Debate Between Clinton and TrumpAccording to the first debate between Clinton and Trump, it is apparent that Trump spoke much more than Clinton, while a more disciplined Hillary Clinton seemed increasingly willing to cede airtime to her opponent. Sometimes, less is more. No one won in the first debate.Debating is about how one interpreting messages, and the logical system of conveying and responding. The paradox of the debate is it is not only about views and messages, but also how you convey and state it. It is all about language. However, none of the two candidates gave enough effective messages to convey their opinions or views. Clinton was better at dominating on substance; she used many more policy-related keywords than Trump during the debate, although with less words.
Obviously as a senior politician, Clinton was really well prepared, small to an expression, a gesture, even the time to laugh and smile. She kept bringing forward her policy, sticking to the questions. However, she was so well prepared that make me feel she was repeating from her memory. Like she mentioned, everything she said could be found on her website, thus there was no surprise or potential I can see from her. Trump, on the contrary, was good at interacting, responding and interrupting, although what he did was kept repeating limit message. He had strong thesis but weak arguments to support, and always “escape” from questions. However, to be honest, I prefer to get his erratic answers which could be the most effective facts to know.
[quote=Gavin]I’ve been around a bit. I know some things I haven’t studied. But it is very important that a person have that knowledge in their mind. I’ve seen Trump’s first tweet, before he was even born. He would show a different personality every day. No one can prove it, but his first tweet was more than a single tweet. But I don’t remember what it was. I think it was a picture of Trump, with his hair tied, staring down at his watch. It was very funny, because no one could possibly be mistaken. But you understand that, and I am sure it came out of that first tweet. After that second one, it wasn’t very different… [quote=Buck_2__]We just needed a little time to do more to educate the media on the situation. We are going to use Twitter to do that.
I was an extremely experienced media reporter back then, so I wanted to have a voice with a clear idea of what she was talking about, and the fact that her comments were very common for many other top candidates like Hillary. However, I didn’t like the message her was taking, and so I wanted to speak with her to see if what happened might change. With this in mind, we were able to get information from her in the form of her twitter account, and also her official social media accounts. After that, I could say with great clarity those questions. But once we finished, I was confident we had the right answers which were easy to follow, and were all the questions to be answered. For most people, the best results are when you hear it from someone without even being in a position to hear it.
[quote=Everett]I understand if you look at her official social media account, she had her Facebook page as well. I thought it had a lot more depth. I was not expecting her to be such a big celebrity, but after I read a lot of her replies, I believe I saw her get down to it now, because she was giving some answers where she knew exactly what she was talking about and she was really clear on what she had to say. Now, as a journalist, I feel that you can be really confident in your own answers. She seems to have done that by doing that on twitter, and after being able to make that connection with you, I feel that is something which she can be able to continue doing. I believe it’s important to say a word when asked for a topic, and when it comes to her tweets, that she is clearly in tune with you on that topic. She has been working so diligently on this as well. It’s nice to see how her relationship with herself as a political commentator has evolved, although this was difficult from the start. A lot of people wanted to get her to talk about anything. While
