Teenagers, the way they dress, and the music they listen to, can you even call it music? Kids these days. But what are kids these days? What’s with all the concern? And what is a generation? Why do we think that “coevals”, groups of people of roughly the same age, act so much alike? The sheer number of articles, papers and internet post daily, comparing then and now, both sincerely and ironically is astonishing. We can’t seem to get enough about the things that influence kids these days and just how different and awesome it was to be kid back in the good old days. Generational labels make history look ordered and discrete instead of scary and messy. They also have a delightfully suspicious tendency to flatter those using them, George Orwell put it, and I quote “Every generation imagines itself to be intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it.” There’s a name for this sentiment, “Juvenoia”. It means, “An exaggerated fear about things that influence kids these days. Juvenoia is simply put, concerned disappointment, that because of the Smartphones, or the Internet, or TV or those Rock music they listen to, the world just isn’t fit for kids like it used to be. Generational conflict really has been going on for that long, after all, “Honor thy Father and thy Mother was an ancient commandment for a reason. In the fourth century B.C., Aristotle remarked that youth’s mistakes are due to excess mindset “They think they know everything”. The record of our history as we see it today is mostly abstract. And the performance that is displayed now by teenagers and/or students are very much undefined and unrecognized in the ways of the old days or as most people call it generation gap.

– Theoretical and Conceptual Framework         1.2.1 – Overview It may be a passive priority for most people, but student behavioral problems of today’s society is a bit concerning and/or alarming, depends on how a person defines the word “Problem”. Where in many accounts of situations, many people tend to think that teenagers these days are just mindless, ignorant fools who don’t know what they are doing and always fooling around and not being part of the solution. Maybe in the future, a system will be implemented and we, the society will not need to deal with the effects and problems of teenagers and students in general.1.2.2 – Conceptual Framework[pic 2]– Statement of the ProblemMany teens, in both elementary and high school, fall prey to the temptations of peer pressure, fitting in, and the lures of popularity, often times this pressure can pull teens towards disruptive and negative behaviors that are evident both in and outside of school. Many parents witness their child exhibiting problematic behaviors as students try to assert more freedom and independence. Behaviors such as lying, stealing, not performing well in school, skipping class or exhibiting general disruptive actions are fairly common among teens.For teens who are exhibiting seriously detrimental behaviors, either the school or the parent may initiate a meeting to discuss putting the teen in a specialized behavioral program. High school behavioral programs are designed to improve both learning opportunities for the teen, in addition to improving their whole attitude and behavior. These high school programs combine a focus on academics with behavior adjustment, creating a structured environment that will help the student perform better and work towards improvement. However, these things can only be achieved through great effort and cooperation, acting upon the problem with a good leadership and researched information about the subject matter.– Statement of the Hypothesis         If more people will focus on cooperation to counter the common behavioral problems of high school students, then it would solve some of the effects of misbehavior and stress among students.– Significance of the StudyThe findings of this study will enhance our understanding about things that influence the common behaviors that are displayed by students particularly high school students in CITCI and will contribute largely to the benefit of the society considering that teenagers are the future leaders of this nation. The concerned existential crisis in our society must be addressed immediately. Thus, schools that apply the recommended approach derived from the results of this study will enable students to improve, reorganize, and reflect on themselves to better their existence in the society
