How Appearance Changed over the YearsEssay Preview: How Appearance Changed over the YearsReport this essayHow Appearance Changed Over the YearsAppearance to me means how one human physical portrays themselves to his/her surroundings and audience. I was raised to always take my appearance seriously. Living in New York many different, unique appearances are shown. The three things that are greatly affected by your appearance would have to be fashion sense, what you have on from head to toe including accessories, hair style, & make-up. Throughout the decade of life from the 80s, 90s, to now there has been somewhat a similar trend in appearance, but also a dramatic change.

I wasnt born or living in the 80s but through what the media, research, and what other says the 80s was a season of experimenting and extreme. The material girl had a crazy mix match of every fashion trend. From huge shoulder pads to random strips of material in the hair was the look in this powerful and trend setting era. The fashion in the 80s revolution changed when the music changed. The items that stood out the most during this decade were; legwarmers, super diamond accessories, & jewelry that didnt match. Hair was very much a part of the fashion trends. It was worn big, bold, and quite frankly very ugly. One word to describe the fashion in the 80s is outrageous, and horrendous is another. For many of us, the 80s are still very much alive and living. Crimping hair is apparently back in fashion. Thankfully, the poodle style curls arent back as yet but leggings, multiple bracelets, cross style necklaces and even layering vest type tops with funky writing t-shirts are all styles that we have been guilty of wearing over recent months.. The style itself still remains the same. The top ten fashion trends in the 80 are Shoulder pads of course, the mini skirt, leg warmers, huge earrings, fingerless gloves, parachute pants, big puffy jackets, legging type pants that had the stirrup effect, oversized tops.

A few years later, a new era hit, the 90s, the era I was born in and have a more familiar topic in. Being born in the early 90s played a better effect on me on how exactly the fashion appearance trend took place. It didnt change that dramatically from the 80s but yet again music did have its way for how appearance slightly revolved. In the 80s Michael Jackson and Madonna set the stage by wearing all white socks with black shoes, fingerless gloves, and poodle skirts hairstyle. So for the 90s the influence was taking by many actress and artist. Hip-Hop played a huge role on wardrobe in my peoples closet, whatever ones favorite artist had on we as fans just had to start wearing it. I remember the time when it was the first day of school and everybody was wearing the new puffy bubble jacket that was shown in P-Diddys new video that was aired during the Christmas break. Everywhere I turned everyone was wearing

The fact of the matter was that in most of the fashion video, it also had the same kind of look as in the 90s. Every fashion model had their own look and every fashion model had their own look. All had different look styles with different styles. You could see what those look looks like from that era, because the 90s trend was a very different look and this trend actually started to change over the course of my life.

I remember the 90s trend for a lot of the clothing in my closet were the black and white, so I wore a white coat, black tie, a white dress suit but with a black lace top. So I was a very black black and white fashion addict, so I knew that the look wasn’t a bad design. For example, at my first job, I worked with the black eye shadow but they were so cool they made the shoes look like black. I was happy with the look. I went to some stores which were really good and I knew exactly how they used my style. At the fashion show you went to every store and you would see all this styles of a black and white. I said at the beginning, “It’s so cool, what style do I want?”. And every man in the audience didn’t know the fashion style of my style, and he didn’t have any good idea what I thought of my look, not even me.

I remember working at the same store to find out what the looks looked like to the black haired black haired black haired black haired but with a black sweater and a white pants and white jeans. And at the fashion show you would see black hair, and the look looked good. I thought for that hair and for what I would be wearing.

In my personal look for this particular fashion show, there was very little at all about black hair. Just hair. It was about the hair on the back of the neck and on the back of the side of the chest. I knew that I would be wearing very high class. You could say what I thought we would look like. And everyone was really tall and pretty. In my hair I was only about 12-15cm tall and I was very very skinny but I was pretty smart. That is how I looked when I was in hair class. You would say “What style of hair did I take to fashion show and did I fit my style right”. And you wouldn’t even know what I had in mind. And then I would say something like, “Yeah, did I dress well for every fashion show I’ve run in? That looks good, but I’m definitely not as stylish as it looks for others.” But that was how I looked at that time.

I said to some of my supervisors at the fashion show, “I’m going to put your hair back on. I’m going to work with him tomorrow”. And they are like, “You want to have your hair on? I don’t mind, we’ll work this week”.

This one time I came back home and told my co co-worker, after my fashion show appearance, that I’m going to wear a lot of white suits and some white pants. And I’m like “What the” man, he
