Much like the Spartans, the Amazons were a different kind of soldier. While the Amazons were actual living, breathing women, they were also fighting machines, and they showed no mercy in their battles. Completely demolishing anything that came in their path, the Amazons made a name for themselves through out all of Greece. Pressfields mother often told him how much she admired the Amazons, and their quest for equal treatment. Much like the King in Pressfields novel, a young principle in one of Pressfields younger day schools declared that women had no place on the playground, Making more of an impact on the kings character than Pressfield realized.
It took just 10 years for the world to get to this point, but the Amazons were one of Athens’ most influential leaders. Their story inspired a new generation of Greek women thinkers and made them an important force within the ancient Greek community. The first woman to become a member of the Grecian senate was the famous Grecian princess Ephraim. Before that Ephraim became a well known figure who became a model for many of the most successful women politicians from that year. Since then, both the Roman and Greek leaders have taken note of their women and women thinkers and are working with the Amazons to develop a new set of intellectual and legal concepts to be held back from a dangerous new world. This had a negative impact on the population, as they were forced from their homes, and the city collapsed as well, leaving their people under the control of the powerful Athens, many of whose leaders were women who had been slaves to Athenian rulers.[4]
[5] After the fall of the city, the warring tribes had a long period of time to live together and was then called the Cretaria. The Cretaria is a group of warrior tribes who came together during the first few thousand thousand years of the human history. For some hundred thousand years, the Cretaria lived among the peoples with their great cities on the site of the ancient cities they had built.[6] The Cretaria conquered the territory of other ancient civilizations on the islands of the Cretaria and had a great land of immense wealth, but it was then that Greece came across a common people, called the Amazon, who were seeking the land themselves. Their lands and people were known as the Grecian Empire, after its founder, the Greek king, Apollo, who was living in Athens and was known by the Amazons as the “Amazon King”.
