Stina Persson created a watercolour artwork of an elephant (d.), which is recognized as a spirit of self-sacrifice to Buddhists. It is believed Buddha had taken the form of an elephant within his previous life and sacrificed himself for social welfare, “It is better to live alone, there is no companionship with a fool. Let a man walk alone with few wishes like an elephant in the forest. Let him commit no sin”. Elephants are a symbol of success, good living and prosperity in India.  The use of grey and blue hues could suggest a calming feeling within the artwork.  e.) Purple is historically a symbol that represents wealth and royalty, and still today holds some of that symbolism within it. Purple gives a feeling of power. Focusing on her use of water colour, she is said to trace out her artwork in a light pencil, then wet the high quality paper before dropping in the watercolour paints and letting them merge together which is a signature look within her artworks. Persson knows the right balance of colour, therefore making her
